In the dynamic world of digital payments, the BuyPower Merchant App emerged as a unique platform enabling entrepreneurs to process bills and earn commissions. This is the driving vision behind the BuyPower Merchant App. Through this app, users help others pay their bills and earn commissions, transforming routine transactions into rewarding connections.
Objective
What we want to achieve
Our goal was to redesign the App's outdated interface, elevating the user experience and making it more efficient while maintaining its essential functionality.
As the sole designer on this project, I took charge of the entire redesign process, from initial wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes, ensuring the interface enabled users to easily navigate.
Research & Constraints
Putting the user first
To guide the redesign, I analyzed app reviews and conducted a user survey. Reviews highlighted common issues;
Combining commissions with wallet funds, users want to track their commissions
Ability to download receipts.
Improve user interface.
The survey reinforced these findings, with users wanting to access support easily.
This feedback provided a clear direction for the redesign.
Wireframes
As a next step, I created wireframes to validate navigation patterns and ensure all existing functionality is accounted for in the new design.

The redesign wasn't just aesthetic, it was transformative:

Following the launch, user feedback reflected a noticeable shift in satisfaction, with fewer complaints about design friction. The app also saw an increase in user engagement, as smoother workflows encouraged more frequent transactions.
We remain attentive to new opportunities for improvement. We have a feedback mechanism in place, and we continue to learn from users, ideate, test, and repeat.
Learnings
This project taught me that great design is about understanding human potential, not just solving technical challenges.
