Place is an eCommerce furniture application with AR/VR technology, it offers its users who want to visualize how a piece of furniture will look in their homes before making a purchase.

Users who want to purchase furniture are overwhelmed and unsure of how a particular piece of furniture will look in their homes.
To create a Virtual reality app that provides different virtual models of furniture. After signing up, users can select virtual models of the furniture and test them in a virtual model of their apartments. Just to see how perfectly it will fit and blend with the apartment. For every piece of furniture purchased on the platform, there will be a transaction fee.
The major aim of the survey was to understand the pain points users face and also opportunities when buying furniture online.
We carried out an online survey with the focus on finding the current apps that they use and finding ways to make an improvement and make their experiences better, we also had an open-end interview with the participants with the aim of understanding their motivations and pain points from their previous experiences.
We followed a lean UX design thinking process to ensure that the decisions were supported through user research and feedback.
We represented each task to give a basic visual structure and to test the user flow.
When we were satisfied with the low-fidelity design, we translated it to high-fidelity after building simple components and a style guide.
The home page comprises all the furniture models listed on the platform and is broken down into categories for users to utilize a quick filter selection through navigation.
Creating an Apartment Model
The platform allows users to create a virtual model of the section in their home where they intend to place the furniture.
Animation
After the user selects the furniture that they want to buy, they can proceed to animate in AR to see how it will look on the section of their apartment.
Results
The feedback we received from shoppers was extremely positive, with many noting the convenience of seeing the virtual model of furniture in their apartment before making a purchase
